AZAPO welcomes the elections date, as announced by President Cyril Ramaphosa.
We view the 29th May as another opportunity for South Africans to go and determine their own destiny.
AZAPO is alive to the truth that elections after elections, South Africans are being promised a lie and sold a dummy – an unrealisable dream, if you may.
AZAPO can assure South Africans of a clean, honest and responsive AZAPO government that would be pro poor and unashamedly work towards restoring the power back to the people to determine their own lives and destinies.
It is the indignity of our people and their purported powerlessness that propels AZAPO for the coming elections.
Our resolve is for our people to have their dignity and power back.
AZAPO is ready to fix the country by fulfilling all the promises of the liberation struggle.
